The Malta Lake in Poznań is an artificial reservoir created as a result of damming the Cybina River waters for sports and recreational purposes: regatta courses and bathing site. Due to its intensive exploitation and requirements related to the use of the reservoir for the rowing competition purposes, it is drained every four years to enable reconstruction of damaged elements (slopes and bottom) and cleaning of the reservoir’s bottom (collecting bottom deposits and deepening). Based on technical documentation and on-site verification, the authors evaluate the state of the construction elements in selected points after a four-years’ exploitation period. This information is then used in order to identify the need for repair and maintenance works, as well as evaluate their necessary scope.
