System Dynamics (SD) has been known as a technics of modelling and understanding the behaviour of complex systems for 40 years. In that time it has been interpreted from several different perspectives. This paper presents different views of SD, beginning from the classic one by Forrester, describes several weaknesses of SD and shows a current area of SD applications.
