The paper presents the investigations of the influence of different suspension concentrations on linear head loss particularly friction coefficient (lambda). Investigations were done by using polyvinyl chloride and polyethylene pipes. The tests were performed for three suspensions concentrations in wastewater and the results were compared with results obtained from test with water. It was found that for the investigated range of variables with increasing concentrations of suspended solids in the wastewater slightly increasing pressure losses. On the basis of statistical analysis developed a formula that allows determine the coefficient of lambda as a function of Reynolds number and concentration of suspended solids.
