Upatrują w nich możliwy do stosowania rdzeń dźwiękochłonny w ściankach zabezpieczeń ograniczających nadmierną aktywność akustyczną źródeł hałasu wewnętrznego i zewnętrznego. Opublikowane w 2007 r. artykuły z wynikami wstępnych badań materiałów ziarnistych zainteresowały producentów ekranów akustycznych.
This article presents the results of the extended research program on sound ab-sorbing properties of rubber granulates, executed at the Department of Mechanics and Vibroacoustics in 2008-2011. The authors have worked for several years on granular materials in their natural form and on granulated products formed from processed solids, expecting that it would be possible to use them as the sound absorbing core in protection walls that limit the excessive acoustic activity of internal and external noise sources. The papers published in 2007, presenting the findings of preliminary research on acoustic properties of the granular materials, aroused interest among the manufacturers of acoustic screens.
