The efficiency of refrigeration and air conditioning units depends, among other things, on the condensing and evaporating temperature of the refrigerant. The evaporation temperature is related to the process to which the device is intended and in most cases it is a constant value. For air conditioning systems it will be around +5°C, for food freezing processes it can even -35°C. The condensing temperature, in the case of air condensers, depends on the temperature of the outside air. The general trend is that the higher the temperature of the air, the higher the condensing temperature, and thus the lower energy efficiency ratio EER. As part of the research, the work of the installation was analyzed in which the air is cooled adiabatically before it reaches the condenser. The analysis shows that as the temperature of the outside air increases (ie when the refrigeration plants operate with the lowest efficiency), there is the greatest potential for efficiency improvement through adiabatic cooling. The analysis shows that for the month of July 2018 it was possible to reduce energy consumption from 12,77 % to 14,28 % depending on the analyzed device.
