The article presents the case of a safety risk signalled by the cracking of partition walls at a height above 3 m in a structure based on monolithic reinforced concrete floors with openings with surface areas of several m2 situated on the axes of the columns, sometimes directly adjacent to the columns. Preliminary calculations indicate that the structure is threatened by perforation of the floors. Thanks to detailed inspection of materials and calculations in three models it is possible to determine that the structure can distribute occurring loads despite cracking of the walls based on columns. It is also emphasized that a computational spatial model not taking into consideration stages of building erection may not be the most appropriate model.
