The opportunity to discuss the issue of American ethnicity came with the workshops organized at the Institute of American Studies and Polish Diaspora at the Jagiellonian University, Kraków under the title: American Ethnicity: Rethinking Old Issues, Asking New Questions. Initiated and organized by Prof. Dorota Praszalowicz from the Institute for the third time, this year's workshops were co-organized by the US General Consulate, the Alumni Association in Poland and the Immigration and Ethnic History Society from the US.
