The article is devoted to the question of naming of dishes in the north-western dialects of the Belorussian language and presents the attempt to set up a typology of the dialect subject vocabulary. Hyperonimical-hyponimical and synonymic relations are picked out in the lexical-semantic group of the names of dishes, homonyms and polysemantic words are found (the meanings of which are differently organized and carry additional cultural information). On the whole the linguistic analysis of the group gives some information about the naive-linguistic picture of the world of the speakers of the north-western Belorussian dialects.
