In the paper the results of tests defining the influence of zinc bath temperature upon growth kinetics and structure of coatings obtained on B500SP steel are presented. Steel B500SP is reinforcement steel of increased ductility with EPSTAL certificate. Coatings were made on the tested steel in Zn-AlNi, Zn-AlNiBi and Zn-AlNiBiSn baths. The structure and the chemical composition of coatings in micro-areas have been developed. The growth kinetics of coatings in tested bathes was defined with reference to temperature. It has been determined that growth kinetics of coatings on the tested reinforcing steel - even though the concentration of Si was within the Sebisty range - did not show reversed temperature dependence which is characteristic of Sebisty steel. Moreover, it has been established that the thinnest coatings were obtained in the bath with the addition of Bi.
