Creating Knowledge-Based Economy: Infrastructure - Organizations - Individuals, Publishinghouse of Leon Koźmiński Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management, Warsaw 2003>153-163
The article presents the results of a study facilitating diagnosis of the potential of an enterprise to create knowledge. The group of examined businesses included economic entities functioning within the production, services, and trading areas. All the businesses operated in the Silesian province. The dependence between the strengthening of the qualities fostering creating knowledge and the presence or absence of foreign entities in the structure of property of an enterprise confirms in the examined group of businesses the hypothesis assuming that such dependence exists. The influence of the kind of a business' property on its potential to create knowledge is less evident. However, the results of the study confirm, though partly, the hypothesis assuming that there is a dependence between the kind of property and the strengthening of the orientation towards creating knowledge.
