The scientific conference entitled: Initiators, Designers, Producers of Culture Education and Culture Promotion was held from 12th to 13th October, 2010 in Cieszyn. The conference was organized by the Culture Education Unit - Institute of Educational Sciences at the Department of Ethnology and Educational Sciences of the Silesian University. The conference was prepared in the context of research conducted by the Cieszyn Centre for Developing Organizers of Cultural Activities. Representatives of the academic circles from Gdansk, Gniezno, Katowice, Krakow, Lublin, Olsztyn, Poznan, Szczecin, Torun, Warszawa, Wroclaw and Zielona Gora plus workers of the culture institutions, the educational centres and representatives of the local (county, city and village) authorities participated in the discussion about the role of individuals - the people important for culture education, culture promotion in the local environment as well as the most effective conditions of their activities.
