The paper presents a selection of sixteen parchment documents, which are in the collection of the manuscripts of the Catholic University of Lublin Library. The author presented the documents in chronological order, provided them with the physical description and regesta. The list was supplemented with the provenance details, a source and bibliographical commentary. The studied documents are among the most valuable and interesting, in terms of historical value, parchment documents relating to Lublin and the region of Lublin from 14th to 17th century. They provide rich source material, essential to the understanding of the political, economic and social relations on the territory of the former province of Lublin. The documents include the originals of five trade privileges for Lublin (from Elisabeth of Poland, Queen of Hungary granted in 1371, Louis I of Hungary in 1376, Casimir IV of the House of Jagiellon in 1460, Alexander of the House of Jagiellon in 1503 and Sigismund II Augustus in 1570 ), the seventeenth-century copy of the foundation charter for Lewartow issued by Piotr Firlej in 1543, the originals of two privileges of baker's guild granted by Sigismund III Vasa in Lublin in 1595 and 1611, the original of the Wysokie estate security for Urszula Kaszowska approved by the iudex terrestris of Lublin, Piotr Firlej, in 1499, and the privilege to hold fairs for the town of Czemierniki, Jan and Andrzej Firlej's property, which was granted by John II Casimir. Most of these documents are still considered missing, some of them were not even known and the information they include were not presented in any scholarly publications. The aim of this paper is to restore these sources and to highlight the valuable, though less known, manuscript collections of the Catholic University of Lublin Library.
