The article contains a semantic analysis of the lexeme 'krew' (blood), which is one of the most frequently used somatic expressions in K.K. Baczynski's poetry. Only one meaning bears a positive connotation, namely 'zycie' (life)). Other meanings are associated with 'evil', 'danger' and ultimately with 'death'.
