The goal of this publication is to present institutional career guidance with a medium-sized town as the example. The authoress presents different centres, their offer, characteristics of a career consultant as well as activities undertaken in order to develop the cooperation. Conclusions resulting from the research carried out point out the necessity for undertaking actions aimed at further specialization of the centres, their offer as well as creating a direct cooperation network between different centres in the framework of lifelong guidance.
