At the threshold of 21st Century, seeking the common approaches to the Holocaust education has become a vital issue preoccupying especially the European Union countries. Both researchers and pedagogues focusing on teaching methods or the Holocaust try to come to conclusion how to teach about the Holocaust. Already before the EU extension the Slovak specialists joined this endeavour. The authoress presents her experience with the issue and relates the Slovak conditions within the overall European tendencies.
