The subject of the analysis is students' applications for the allowance to have a committee exam. The aim of the research is defining systematic qualities of the texts and an analysis of their structure. The analyzed texts are defined as applications written by students after they have got a mark which they refuse to accept (usually unsatisfactory) to university authorities of different levels, including a request, accompanied with adequate arguments, to be allowed to have a committee exam. As the analysis shows, the texts hale genre qualities of applications to institutions, which allow us to create a pattern for a students. application for an agreement to have a committee exam.
