Problems of regulating the labor remuneration in Ukraine is considered from the point of view of wages purchasing power. Negative tendencies in the field of remuneration of labour have been found and it is proved that inspite of the positive dynamics of nominal wages growth in Ukraine their purchasing power goes down annually. It is also proved that wage levels are formed not according tothe labor complexity and productivity but to industries, especially those with a monopolistic slope. The necessity of state interference strengthening into the sphere of wage adjusting with the purpose to increase the standard of living of employees in Ukraine has been substantiated.
