The article discusses one of the important problems of the Polish consumer bankruptcy regulation concerning accessibility of this institution for consumers in Poland. The result of analyzing this regulation states that there is a need for legislation amendment in order to increase the availability of consumer bankruptcy. Author supports his thesis with statistics information about consumer over-indebtness in Poland and the amount of consumer bankruptcy orders made in the first period of 2010.
