The first part of the paper presents the discussion concerning the relations between psychological development, psychopathology and creativity. Kazimierz Dabrowski's theory of positive disintegration provide the conceptual framework of the undertaken discussion The second part of the paper considers the role of psychological crises and unconsciousness in creative processes and creative behaviors of scientists.
