Increasing role of knowledge in economic development causes changes in Polish academic schools' behaviour in the local and regional environment. Academic schools have become more open for cooperation with other organizations (mainly companies and local and regional authorities) and began to participate in the process of local and regional economy competitiveness building. For last 10 years we have been observing the academic entrepreneurship development in Poland.
