This paper describes a synthesis method for parallel-coupled filters based on short-circuited stub-loaded resonators. Synthesis formulas were derived for homogeneous medium. Simulations are presented to validate the theory for three relative bandwidths 2, 4 and 8 %. For a proof-of-concept a third-order stripline bandpass filter was designed with a passband ripple of 0.01 dB and a relative bandwidth...
In this paper, a new synthesis method for parallelcoupled line bandpass filter is presented. Design formulas are derived for a third-order bandpass filter with arbitrary coupledline image impedance. These formulas are more accurate than the conventional method to address the prediction bandwidth. Third-order parallel-coupled bandpass filters are designed and simulated to validate the theory.
A novel topology of tunable compact band-pass filters based on stub-loaded parallel coupled resonators is demonstrated. These resonators behave like short-circuited quarter wavelength resonators, which explains the compactness of such a structure of filter. By loading the stubs by a tunable capacitance, a narrow-band tunable filter is obtained, with relative pass-band widths of 3.5% with only two...
