The growth of graphite film on copper foil by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition was achieved at the temperature as relatively low as 800Π. The obtained sample was characterized by SEM and Raman spectra. The results show that the transparent continuous graphite film can be obtained by PECVD.
In order to fulfill the requirements of large current field emission, a kind of stratified carbon film has been synthesized by local heating chemical vapor deposition method. In this stratified structure, carbon fibers with the diameter of more than 500nm have been formed and intertwined with each other as conductive net; carbon nanotubes with the diameter about less than 30nm can be synthesized around...
A surface-conducted field emission cathode with zinc oxide nanotetrapod and nanoparticle with high secondary electron yield is developed in this study. Low-magnification scanning electron microscopy and diode testing are used to characterize the emitter.
As experimental results show, a lower turn on electric field of 1.2V/mum is achieved, and a total emission current of 20 mA is obtained from a 0.8 cm2 area ZnO nanostructures-based cathode, which is enough for radiating an adequate x-ray dose. Furthermore, a good focus performance of electron beam is also obtained with the new focusing electrode-pattern. The ZnO nanostructures-based cold cathode x-ray...
