By the proposed algorithm with iterative methods, the post digital linearization technique converted the distorted RF signal into the linear one. Experimentally, more than 29dB suppression of IMD3 has been achieved and a spurious-free dynamic range increases from 104.1 to 128.8dB within a 1-Hz bandwidth.
We propose and experimentally demonstrate a linearization approach for a novel type of intensity-modulated directly-detected (IM-DD) analog photonic link based on digital processing technique. In our scheme, the analog signal is intensity and orthogonally modulated on a pair of co-propagated photonic links, i.e. one of the two intensity modulations has a bias angle which is 90 degree difference from...
We propose and experimentally demonstrate a novel low-biased intensity-modulated directly-detected (IM-DD) analog photonic link with suppressed relative intensity noise (RIN) and second-order harmonic distortions (SHD) for multi-octave span RF signal delivery. Experiment results show 19 dB suppression of the SHD, compared with the traditional low-biased IM-DD link.
