Values of electromotive force (EMF) of the cell: glass
electrode (Na)|NaBr|AgBr, Ag in water-isopropanol mixtures
containing 0, 10, 30 and 50 wt % alcohol have been measured
at 293.15, 303.15 and 313.15 K. The mean activity coefficients
were also calculated.
The present paper is a continuation of earlier works concerning
the method of determination of kinetic parameters for
the oxidation reactions of organic compounds by cerium perchlorate
in a solution of perchloric acid.
This paper deals with the case of oxidation of organic acids
containing the -C=C- bond and describes the influence of perchloric
acid on the reaction rate of oxidation at the...
The possibility of separating some alkanes or alcohols mixture
by gas chromatography in a packed columns with tetradentate
Schiff base nickel (II) complexes has been studied. The effects
of modification in the chelate structure on the column
selectivity are presented comparing the appropriate heats of
adsorption.
Potentiometric method was used to determine the
protonatloa constants of α-amino-ω-alkylthio-1-alkanephoaphonic
aoida. Determination of complex formation
constants of these acids with Cu(II)ions was
made with the help of the method of Irving and Rossotti.
The extended forms of Jones-Dole equations have been
proposed taking into account the occurence of ionic equilibria
in electrolyte solutions of the type KA₂, K₂A and K₃A
where K means cation and A anion respectively.
Several methods of solvinn the forms of the Jones-Oole
equatation presented earlier [l] have been suggested for
incompletely dissociated electrolytes of KA, KA₂, K₂A, KA₃
and K₃A types where K and A are cation arid anion, respectively.
The different variants taking into account the values
of ionic equilibrium constant have been considered. The aim
of sugested methods is the correct determination...
A method has been developed of determining allyl alcohol
and its derivatives using cerium perchlorate in aqueous solutions
of perchloric acid. This method relies upon results arising
from the kinetic investigations concerning the reduction of
cerium (IV) by the compounds upon present consideration. An
excess of oxidizer was determined by the amperometric method
without the external potential.
Studies were carried out on reaction rates of citraconic,
glutaconic and itaconic acids oxidation. An
influonce of concentration of particular reactans on
these reaction rates has been determined by means of
amperomatric determination of cerium (IV) ions. Both,
stoichiometry and the products of oxidation have been
established. It was shown, that rate determining steps
of the reactions mentioned...
Potential of zero charge (pzc) of gold in solutions
with constant mole concentration of ions in the range pH
1,5-11 was measured. Measurements were carried out by the
inversion immersion method with application of an automatic
measuring equipment. Empirical formula of linear reciprocality of pzc of gold in the pH function was given.
The formation of mixed ligand complexes of Co (II),
Ni(II) and Zn(II) with thiosalicylicacid H₂SR and diethylenetriamine
E in aqueous ethanol (50% v/v) was investigated
by the potentiometric method at 298 and 313 K. The
thermodynamic functions ∆F°, ∆H° and ∆S° have been
evaluated.
Strong adsorption properties of 8-hydroxy-l,2-naphthoquinone-
3,6-disulfonic acid on mercury electrode, which
have been found previously, are now used up practically.
These properties give rise to changes in the reduction of
oxygen on that electrode. This fact allowed to develope an
electrochemical mediatory preparation of H₂O₂ using redox
pair HNQ/HNQH₂ of the reagent under investigation.
Majority of the bioanalytical or environmental methods do not use just one
chromatografie or electrophoretic step, but rather involve several sample
pretreatment steps which simplfy the matrix, and often preconcentrate and
chemically modify the analytes. This work surveys typical procedures for sample
preparation for most commonly analyzed biofluids with particular emphasis
placed on chemical...
In the course of our investigation on electrochemical
synthesis the electrochemical méthoxylation of isopulegole
(̲1) and α-pinene (̲2) was carried out. In the case of ̲1
product obtained was a very complex mixture with 3,4-dimethoxy-
p-8(9)-menthene (3) as the major component. The
méthoxylation of ̲2 yields sobrerol dimethyl diether [6,8-dimethoxy-p-l(2)-methane] (̲4) as the major component...
ARitCO iron anodic diaeolution in HClO₄ solutions in
mixed water-alcohol solvents has been investigated. On
the basis of Prunkin’s isotherm the adsorptive effects
of the particles involved in the electrode reaction determining
step has been discussed.
The stoichiometry and products of oxidation have been
determined. Kinetics of oxidation reactions of cis- and
trans-aconitic acid was investigated. By means of
Ostwald's method the partial orders of the reaction were
determined. It was shown, that the oxidation runs in
two rate determining steps where the one of these steps
may be regarded as a transformation occuring without participation

The maesurements of density and viscosity of hexamethylphosphoramida
(HMPA)-water mixtures containing NaCl
and NaBr were performed at 298.15 K. The B-coefficients of
the Jones-Dole equation were calculated. The relative viscosity
and the B-coefficient are discussed in this work
together with the standard enthalpy of solution of the electrolytes in HMPA-H₂O mixtures at 298.15 K.
