In this paper, a new method using hyperbolic basis functions is presented to solve second kind linear Volterra‐Fredholm integral equation. We describe an iterative method for solving absolute value equations. The result gives a sufficient condition for unique solvability of these equations for arbitrary right-hand sides. This sufficient condition is compared with that one by Mangasarian and Meyer.
