Theory of parallel connected dual pole topology is introduced in this letter. The general transfer function of N transversal array is derived where the filtering function is mapped to Chebyshev polynomial in which all the coupling values are extracted. To demonstrate the feasibility of the approach two 2-stage bandpass dual mode filter prototypes based on parallel connected topology are fabricated...
The design of compact and very selective dual band dual-mode filter with improved isolation is introduced in this paper. The two passbands are achieved by connecting two stepped-impedance dual-mode resonators in parallel. Two transmission zeros are obtained on both sides of each passband with the use of the source-load coupling. Theoretical analysis together with experimental prototype is presented.
A novel dual-mode coaxial resonator filter based on the stepped-impedance line is introduced in this paper. The theory of dual-mode resonator and its feasibility of higher order realization based on parallel connected network are shown. The cavity prototype has been fabricated to prove the feasibility of this approach. The measured results show the excellent agreement with the theories. In contrast...
Among the most important specifications for microwave filters are selectivity, bandwidth, passband insertion loss and physical size. To design a narrowband filter, the unloaded Q-factor of the resonator must be increased if we are to maintain a fixed passband insertion loss. However the Q-factor is proportional to volume of a microwave resonator filter. Thus, a highly selective, narrowband, and low...
A quasi-elliptic triple-mode resonator filter is proposed in this paper. The filter is realized by having a capacitive coupling between the input and the output of a proposed triple mode resonator with one transmission zero at the high side of the passband. With the mentioned coupling, additional two transmission zeros are obtained at both sides of the passband which yields a quasi-elliptic response...
A novel microwave planar triple-mode resonator filter structure to achieve triple-mode rather than dual-mode response has been developed for miniaturization of high selectivity narrow-band microwave bandpass filter. The filter is miniaturized by incorporating a novel stepped impedance triple-mode into resonator. The filter has a passband bandwidth of 6% at 1 GHz. The measured result shows less than...
