A novel method for measuring the shielding effectiveness of a resonant metallic enclosure having apertures in a side wall is presented. The enclosure was resonant with respect to the frequency range of interest, preventing the usage of the methods described in literature. The setup is based on GTEM cell as a compact field-generating environment, capable of accommodating smaller enclosures. The enclosure...
The parameters of antennas printed on electrically thin ungrounded substrate are usually found by simulations or by trial and error method because the value of its effective dielectric constant is unknown. In this paper the effective dielectric constant of a dipole printed on some commonly used substrates, with standard thickness and relative permittivity, was found and its eventual effect on antenna...
The cable of a finite length below the ground surface is analysed applying the scattering theory. The problem is formulated via the electric field integral equation (EFIE) for thin wires. The EFIE is solved by the Galerkin-Bubnov boundary element procedure and the current induced along the buried cable due to the transmitted plane wave excitation is obtained.
