Nitrogen-vacancy centers in diamond allow coherent spin state manipulation and optical readout at room temperature, which has powerful applications in nanoscale sensing. Nanophotonic structures such as plasmonic waveguides, nanoantennae, metamaterials, and metasurfaces can enhance the detected fluorescence rate from such broadband emitters. The fluorescence of the coupled emitter is directed into...
Microcavity lasers possess mechanical resonances due to stopbands in the Bragg reflector's phonon dispersion. By injecting a picosecond strain pulse into the resonator we excite these modes, providing an ultrafast effective modulation of the emission.
It is shown that it is possible to develop LTCC based multichannel integrated planar receiver modules (clusters) for any size X-band AESA. For this purpose LTCC based planar submodules with an integrated patch antenna was developed. It is a clearly seen that LTCC technology helps to make cheap, small, lightweight and ruggedized planar and conformal AESA.
A new circuit of voltage controlled limiter based on pin-diodes has been developed. It is experimentally shown that the leakage power level can be decreased up to 9 dBm.
The paper presents the design and performance of broadband monolithic GaAs p-i-n diode limiter. MIC has low-signal insertion loss. The leakage power of the limiter is about 16.5 dBm and it can handle CW power level up to 37 dBm.
