Plasmonic metallic nanoparticles are coupled to the organic solar cells to overcome the trade-off between the light absorption and carrier collection. They are usually located inside or outside of the active layers. However, no detailed comparison was reported on the light absorption difference when nanoparticles are located inside or outside of the active layers. In this paper, we compare light-trapping...
A fast design procedure of multilayer cascade metasurface absorbers is presented. By analyzing the equivalent circuit model and applying the circuit parameter extraction method, a rapid design procedure can be realized. Combined with the particle swarm optimization, an optimized performance and structure parameters of the multilayer cascade metasurface absorber can be obtained. Compared with the conventional...
A broadband random metasurface for Radar Cross Section (RCS) reduction is proposed in this paper. The metasurface is composed of double multi-folded loop elements. By adjusting the size of each element, different reflection phases are obtained. Thus the incident plane wave is scattered into arbitrary directions. In order to demonstrate the validity of the design, a random metasurface with a dimension...
In this paper, a compact Ka-band SIW power divider based on coupling slot transition between SIW is presented. A conventional SIW power divider is also designed for comparison. The proposed structure keeps almost all the advantages of the conventional case with nearly a half reduction in size. The simulated results show the novel multi-layer power divider has a good performance.
