This paper discussed the regulation characteristics of boundary conduction mode PFC converter with a novel zero-crossing point detector. In the conventional method, the zero-crossing point is detected by observing the change of inductor voltage. The detection of zero-crossing point is delayed due to the effect of parasitic capacitors in the main components of PFC converter. The proposed detector can...
The comparison of the power stage dynamics between a conventional LLC converter and a three-level LLC converter is presented in this paper. The frequency response was similar in continuous current mode, but different in discontinuous current mode. Moreover, how the variation of circuit parameters affects the transfer function of the three-level LLC converter is studied. The experimental verification...
This paper proposes a novel modulation method of the full bridge three-level LLC resonant converter. The voltage gain of the converter is analyzed by First Harmonic Approximation technique using this modulation method. Therefore designers can easily calculate the converter parameters. A 385V input, 225 to 378V/6.6kW output prototype converter shows 98.14% peak efficiency.
