An active millimeter wave imaging system with sparse antenna array for security inspection is introduced in this review. Several key parts and related techniques of the imaging system are explained and numerical results are provided.
In this paper, the effective phase center error for sparse array sampling in active millimeter wave imaging system is analyzed and compensated. Holographic imaging algorithm for millimeter wave imaging system with sparse antenna array is developed by incorporating the phase center error compensation technique. Numerical simulations are conducted to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.
