Deformation-induced magnetization in cyclically deformed Fe-40at.%Al single crystals was found to result from both anti-phase boundary (APB) ribbons between two superpartials and from APB tubes. The density of the APB tubes in the crystals could be quantitatively evaluated by means of a magnetic technique.
