An electrochemical technique for producing silver particles of nanometric sizes in soda-lime silica glass is presented. The procedure is based on the use of silver iodide as solid electrolyte membrane.
Abstract. The time response of a Ag(s)/AgI(s)/graphite(s), I2(g) galvanic cell as iodine sensor was studied using both pure AgI and CsI doped AgI as electrolyte. The use of doped silver iodide expanded considerably the working temperature. An analytical modeling of the sensor response is presented.
