The giant spiny frog, Paa spinosa is a vulnerable species. By using a modified FIASCO (Fast Isolation by AFLP Sequences Containing repeats) method, we isolated and characterized 16 polymorphic tetranucleotide microsatellite loci for P. spinosa.
