This paper introduces a new PO-MoM hybrid method based on the equivalence principle for the object that can be decomposed into different isolated parts. Each part can be solved by MoM or PO according to its local property. The unknowns on every subscatterer are transferred to its surrounding equivalent surface with a new scheme, and the intersections between different parts are also considered by...
This paper proposes a strict ray-based shadowing rule to compute the visibility between two facets in the iterative physical optics (IPO) method. This computation is further accelerated through the kd-tree structure to reduce the number of intersection tests between a ray and facets. Compared with previous IPO with a simplified shadowing rule, the proposed method is more efficient, accurate, and stable.
By viewing a gene expression profile as a pseud-time signal, we apply wavelet transformation (WT) to analyze gene expression data in a time-frequency manner. As a result, two pattern extraction approaches, continuous wavelet transformation (CWT)-based one and discrete wavelet transformation (DWT)-based one, are proposed to extract hidden expression patterns for cancer classification and are compared...
