The coupling of adsorptive accumulation with catalytic reactions results in remarkably low (sub-picomolar) detection limits. This review assesses various strategies for attaining such dual-amplification effects, that lead to the most sensitive voltammetric technique, adsorptive-catalytic stripping voltammetry (AdCtSV).
The combination of adsorption and catalytic processes with advanced voltammetric measurement schemes constitutes the basis for one of the most sensitive analytical techniques. In this paper we describe an extremely sensitive catalytic-adsorptive stripping voltammetric protocol for ultratrace measurements of platinum. The method is based on coupling the adsorptive accumulation of the platinum formaldoxime...
Alkyl groups in trialkylboranes were successfully transferred to carbonyl compounds in the presence of the platinum cathode and copper anode by electrochemical method. The new, mild electrochemical alkyl transfer reaction produced various substituted alcohols in good yields.
