The aim of the paper is to answer the question whether convergence between households expenditures structures in the European Union exists. In order to study the phenomenon concepts of β - and σ -convergences are applied. The research is based on data on households expenditures in the period from 1995 through 2011 provided by EUROSTAT. It covers 27 countries and 12 groups of goods and services according...
The article discusses the problem of similarities and differences of countries with respect to the structure of household expenditure in the European Union. This issue is important due to problem of economic and social and cohesion among member states. Comparative analysis of structures of consumption expenditures of households in EU member countries is performed using distance measure approach taking...
The paper deals with the dependence of the share of households’ food expenditure on the total expenditure and the household’s size. This problem is important in applied welfare economics. According to the Engel’s law, the poorer household, the greater proportion of its total expenditure is devoted to the food consumption. In the study, the Working-Leser model was applied to Polish households microeconomic...

This paper describes the research activity that is being carried out in the MOCHA project, a cooperative R&D effort at the European scale. The aim of the project is to develop reliable modelling and simulation solutions for SiP design verification.
