We study theoretically that a photonic crystal waveguide with modulated output surface can focus electromagnetic wave just like a lens. The characters of the focus are sensitive to the surface morphology and can be modulated by adjusting the parameters. Two methods are proposed to modify the focus, and an interesting off-axis focus is found in an asymmetrical structure.
